International Development Strategy: call for evidence

Deadline 6 September 2021

The Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office (FCDO) invites people and organisations to submit evidence to inform the UK government’s International Development Strategy over the next decade.

The evidence should be aligned with the objectives of the Integrated Review of Security, Defence, Development and Foreign Policy (the Integrated Review) from 2022 to 2030:

  1. sustaining strategic advantage through science and technology 
  2. shaping the open international order of the future 
  3. strengthening security and defence at home and overseas 
  4. building resilience at home and overseas

The Strategy proposes to build on the following 7 key priorities for UK Official Development Assistance (ODA) in 2021 to 2022:  

  1. climate and biodiversity 
  2. global health security 
  3. open societies and conflict resolution 
  4. girls’ education 
  5. humanitarian preparedness and response 
  6. science and technology 
  7. trade and economic development
