16 February 11am GMT
In this Global Disability Summit side-event, we aim to showcase different practices and findings from Humanity and Inclusion, Save the Children and their partners, including OPDs, and convey messages and recommendations for action, bringing voices from a range of policy-makers and practitioners across different countries sharing what actually works and what is still missing.
This side event seeks to address the following questions:
- What are the best practices in terms of using ICT for learners with a range of disabilities, including learners with difficulties in seeing, hearing, communicating, remembering, concentrating or with fine motor skills?
- What key ingredients need to be in place, for ICT for learners with disabilities to be successful? What does this look like in practice? How can different actors contribute?
- How can ICT advance inclusion in society and to what extent is ICT integrated in development policies and programming?
The event will be held in English with interpretation in at least two other languages (including French), closed captioning, and international sign language
