To celebrate International Literacy Day 2024, FHI 360’s Global Education Team, in collaboration with VVOB, Chemonics International and the International Rescue Committee, will host an interactive panel on the role of educators in Literacy Teaching and Learning on September 10th at 8:00 AM Eastern Time. This panel of experts will share their experience promoting innovative teaching pedagogies to transform literacy education, adopting effective methods and models for enhancing teaching practices, and observations on other crucial factors needed to create an “enabling environment” for effective literacy instruction. USAID will be invited to open the event, and several international and local NGOs with an interest in literacy education are expected to attend.
