The Right to Education Initiative’s team is pleased to invite you to the online launch of a new guide on ‘Monitoring Early Childhood Care and Education (ECCE) from a Human Rights Perspective’.
This guide is part of a series of thematic monitoring guides and complement RTE’s online monitoring guide and associated indicators selection tool, which provide step-by-step guidance to monitor education issues from a human rights perspective.
This new guide focuses on ECCE. It has been designed to explain and facilitate the monitoring and reporting process. It is a practical tool for those advocating to ensure young children’s right to ECCE is guaranteed, respected and implemented. It include a set of human rights indicators linked to ECCE-related provisions enshrined in international human rights law. It provides guidance to monitor specific dimensions of ECCE or ECCE in specific contexts.
The online launch will include a presentation of key features of the ECCE monitoring guide by RTE team and comments from ECCE experts and practitioners on the usefulness of the guide for various audience, followed by a Q&A session.
