About this event
Location: Room 728 UCL Institute of Education 20 Bedford Way London WC1H 0AL
The annual UN Climate Change Conference (Conference of the Parties, or COP) is a meeting of delegates from around the world to negotiate global goals for tackling climate change, present country plans for contributing to those goals, and report on their progress. This event aims to reflect on the implications of COP27 for universities and explore how the Climate-U (Transforming Universities for a Changing Climate) project can contribute to climate action as a result.
Researchers involved with CEID (Centre for Education and International Development, UCL, UK) will be in conversation with international partners in Brazil, Fiji, India, Jamaica, Kenya, Morocco, and Tanzania to engage with different dimensions of the contributions of higher education to the climate crisis.
The event is open to all those with an interest in the issues under discussion. The event is free to attend, but registration on Eventbrite is required for room booking and catering purposes. When booking, please specify through your ticket whether in-person or online. Refreshments and lunch will be provided for in person attendees.
