In 2018, 29 million babies – almost 1 in 5 babies globally – were born into conflict affected areas (UNICEF, 2019). In 2022, 230 million children were reported to be living in high-intensity conflict zones (Save the Children, 2022).

This seminar shares research conducted for the Inter-Agency Network for Education in Emergencies on the urgent need to support young children in a critical window of development and learning, and the ripple effects that timely Early Years programming can have on caregivers and communities in crisis and conflict-affected settings.

All REAL Centre seminars are in-person events with the option to join online.
